About

A true artist is not one who is inspired, but one who inspires others.

— Salvador Dalí

About me

I am a lifelong scholar, educator, and curator who believes in the transformative power of art.

Art, for me, is a living force for connection, dialogue & transformation.

For more than twenty years, I have taught across the Middle East and the United States, bringing together art history, visual communication, media, and the humanities. My teaching is rooted in curiosity, dialogue, and the belief that learning becomes most meaningful when students can connect history and theory to their own lives, cultures, and creative practice.

My journey has taken me from classrooms in Chicago to the cultural landscape of Kuwait and the UAE. Along the way, my work has grown to encompass research, curating, and community-engaged projects exploring Middle Eastern art, women’s visual narratives, identity, social justice, and public art. Whether researching Egyptian Modern and Contemporary art, curating cross-cultural exhibitions, or mentoring students as they transform ideas into visual stories, I am continually drawn to art’s ability to reveal overlooked narratives and create meaningful connections between people and cultures.

I thrive at the intersection of creativity, communication, and technology. My skills combine design thinking with digital expertise, allowing me to create engaging visual experiences, effective learning environments, and meaningful stories that inspire and connect.
